Your role
Drive OEE, yield improvements, cost savings, and process improvements at the Hodges manufacturing facility
• Research and experiment with new technologies and methods for process optimization
• Develop and refine optimal running parameters for different products within Spray Drying and Liquid Processes
• Suggest and support Safety and Quality Improvements
• Establish expert knowledge and technical expertise in running and troubleshooting powder and liquid technologies in food. (i.e. spray-drying, pasteurization, membrane filtration, liquid separation, flavor and palatability processing, etc.)
• Define and simulate process flow diagrams and write standard operating procedures.
• Collect and organize process data to discover opportunities for process improvement
• Support local and global expert teams in implementing new technology.
• Support the local team with troubleshooting and RCA's.

About you
Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or Similar Field Ideal candidates will possess the following:
• 8+ years of running/optimizing Spray Dryers (Box and Tower)
• Strong understanding of heat & mass balance, evaporation efficiency, and energy consumption
• Managerial / supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility
• Experience implementing/utilizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Project management in a manufacturing environment; preference to experience with stage-gate project management.
• Engineering and/or Maintenance/Reliability experience within a manufacturing environment.
Optional:
• Experience with high-protein or fat-containing products
• Exposure to energy reduction or decarbonization initiatives
