Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Sector is looking for Sr Principal Project Management located 100% on-site in Rancho Bernardo, CA

This will support Center of Excellence (COE) regarding Aerospace Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance & Testing (AISR&T) portfolio.

This role will support both acquisition and execution of an upcoming contract award and serve as the liaison between GSC project management and planning, scheduling, engineering, program, and business management teams.

Coordinating GSC material and labor inputs and approvals through the program approval process, proposal submittal, supporting customer requests for information (RFIs) providing government audit support, fact-finding, negotiation, and the sweep process.

Essential Responsibilities:

Acquisition:
  • Support entire proposal process from request for proposal (RFP) and authorization to proceed (ATP) from a Global Supply Chain Program perspective
  • Coordinating GSC material and labor inputs and approvals through the program approval process
  • Support Customer requests for information (RFIs) providing government audit support, fact-finding, negotiation, and the sweep process
  • Collaborate across multiple functions to prepare and submit first-time quality, compliant, and on-time proposals to support the customer commitments as well as NG's financial goals

Execution
  • Manages all phases of program and project execution
  • Manages Production schedule
  • Assess product issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives
  • Communicate priorities for sub-tier supplier efforts and material purchasing, ensuring the manufacturing line has all necessary parts and materials in support of production.
  • Supports in communicating priorities for sub-tier supplier efforts and material purchasing
  • Support functional and program leadership briefings
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives
  • Create PowerPoint presentations detailing program status, risks & opportunities, recommendations, and resolutions.
  • Travel to supplier and/or customer facilities to support program reviews.


Basic Qualifications( Sr. Principal):
  • Must have Bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, Master's degree with 6 years of experience, or PhD with 4 years of experience
  • Experience must be in one or more of the following: Project/ Program Management, Business Management, Price/Cost, Finance, Data Analytics or Subcontracts
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance within reasonable amount of time deemed by business needs


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting proposal activity.
  • Experience supporting DoD / Government contracts
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and parts list as well as assembly instructions
  • Experience using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
  • Experience developing Business Intelligence Tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Experience with pulling and presenting comprehensive data analyses
  • EVMS Certified


Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
