DescriptionNorthrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a
Sr. PrincipalProject Manager. This position is located in
Merritt Island, FL and supports the Launcher Operating Unit. This individual will assist in the definition, planning, organizing, directing and controlling risk and opportunity management efforts. This position manages the risk process and is not a people manager position.
What you'll get to do: - Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team and line management.
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management: - Bachelor's degree and 8 years, or master's and 6 years'of relevant experience.
- Experience working with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.) to identify and mitigate risks at early stages.
- Experience using RIO (Risk in Opportunity) frameworks.
- Experience Running reviews and keeping risk data current, accurate and decision ready.
- Experience using advance Microsoft Office Applications (Excel Pivot Tables, V-Lookups and analyzing large data sets).
- Experience articulating and presenting risk management concepts.
Preferred Qualifications: - Minimum 1 year experience using risk management tools and dashboards (or similar systems).
- Active U.S. Government Secret level security clearance.
- Experience with program integration and risk management.
- Experience presenting to upper-level management.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
