Northrop Grumman Space Systems—Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Sr Principal Cyber Operations Planner – CWO (26-397) to join our team of skilled and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels.

This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options.

Position Overview:

The CWO reports to theC2BMC Command Center (CCC) Operations Leadand provides daytoday oversight, guidance, and leadership for125+ personnel, including 24x7 CCC crews and globally dispersed assets. You will own the operational picture of theglobal C2BMC enterprise, ensuring system health, readiness, and secure commandandcontrol for missile defense operations and information sharing.

This position requires24x7 shift work. The selected candidate will be assigned to a rotating12hour shiftbased on mission requirements, with substitute rotation coverage (including nights and weekends) as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide operations floor leadership for 24x7 CCC operations, maintaining floor integrity and a disciplined, missionfocused environment

  • Oversee and manage all C2BMC operations, including monitoring and reporting on the health and status of the global C2BMC enterprise

  • Direct Operations & Maintenance (O&M), network monitoring, and network defense activities for C2BMC mission systems to ensure availability, quality, and security of services

  • Make daytoday operational decisions on the CCC floor to support C2BMC mission systems, command and control (C2), and information sharing

  • Ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of reports, keep leadership informed, and recommend courses of action for emerging issues or mission needs

  • Maintain a current, comprehensive picture of the status of all systems at all times

  • Ensure crew members are appropriately trained, certified, and missionready, and that shifts are properly manned; conduct thorough changeover briefs

  • Provide emerging oversight support to the Global C2BMC Operations floor, advising on actions being taken and requirements needed to support global mission execution

  • Direct crews to troubleshoot network issues and support cyberdefensive operations as needed

  • Work closely with the Global Shift Lead, CCC Lead, and government leadership to coordinate operations and communicate impacts, risks, and needs

  • Perform other related duties and assignments as required in support of C2BMC mission success

Basic Qualifications:

Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

  • A Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Masters degree in a related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or 12 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree

  • Applicants must have a current, active in-scope Government-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start, with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI clearance

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to brief senior military and government leaders on complex operational and technical issues

  • Experience in Project Management, Planning, and Resource Management, including managing crews or teams in a hightempo operational environment

  • Demonstrated experience leading personnel in operations and/or maintenance of largescale computer and communications systems/networking

  • Experience or knowledge of enterprise network, systems, and cyber defense capabilities and management

  • Effective communication skills to brief technical system and network issues, as well as overall system status and reports, using tools such as Microsoft Visio and PowerPoint

  • Personal knowledge and practical experience to direct the assessment and development of Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) and Operating Instructions (OIs) to effectively administer, operate, and manage services under C2BMC operational control

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

  • A rotating 247 shift schedule (12hour shifts) is required. Mission needs will determine the specific shift, and additional offshift coverage (nights/weekends) may be required on a substituterotation basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Applicants with a current, active in-scope Government-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application are highly preferred, with the eligibility to be read on to SCI clearance

  • Experience liaising with other DoD agencies and associated Missile Defense Systems operations/organizations

  • Experience with U.S. Space Force, USSTRATCOM, or working within the space domain

  • Prior experience in a global or enterpriselevel operations center supporting C2, network operations, or missile defense missions

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
