Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Technical Portfolio Manager to help shape and lead a complex enterprise Marketing Technology portfolio. Through supporting the Marketing Technology Executive, you will translate strategic direction into coordinated technology investments, product and platform roadmaps, financial plans, delivery priorities, and risk decisions aligned to measurable business and customer outcomes. You will lead and develop experienced portfolio, program, or project management professionals while championing effective product, Agile, DevOps, governance, and value-management practices.

In this highly visible role with people leadership responsibilities, you will collaborate across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Finance, Data, Risk, Compliance, and external providers to strengthen portfolio governance, execution, and transparency. Your work will help advance modernization of the Marketing Technology ecosystem and capabilities such as digital measurement, customer data activation, personalization, campaign execution, marketing automation, and customer experience optimization.

What You'll Do

  • Translate strategic direction into portfolio priorities, investment recommendations, roadmaps, financial targets, customer outcomes, and execution plans.


  • Support executive decision-making by translating financial, delivery, technology, performance, and risk information into concise recommendations and clear trade-offs.


  • Lead investment and financial governance, including demand intake, prioritization, business cases, funding, forecasting, variance management, vendor costs, and value realization.


  • Establish operating rhythms, decision forums, performance measures, and executive reporting that enable transparent, data-driven portfolio decisions.


  • Coordinate dependencies, capacity, sequencing, resources, and delivery commitments across products, platforms, business areas, enterprise functions, and external partners.


  • Identify and resolve complex risks, constraints, and tradeoffs affecting customer outcomes, financial performance, security, compliance, or delivery.


  • Coordinate analysis, planning, and execution to advance Marketing Technology modernization and rationalization, improving scalability, customer experience, measurement, operational efficiency, privacy, and regulatory compliance.

Basic Qualifications
-Typically requires Bachelor's degree with eight or more years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Experience leading or supporting portfolios spanning Marketing Technology, digital experience, customer experience technology, marketing analytics, or customer data platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Experience Cloud or comparable enterprise platforms supporting analytics, content management, personalization, journey orchestration, campaign execution, customer data activation, or work management.
  • Understanding of digital measurement, tagging, attribution, segmentation, data governance, privacy, consent, platform integration, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with portfolio and product management tools such as Clarity, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or comparable platforms.
  • Advanced Excel or Power BI capabilities for executive reporting, financial analysis, portfolio insights, roadmaps, dependencies, trends, and risk visualization.
  • Experience leading platform modernization, rationalization, technology simplification, or large-scale operating-model transformation.


Location expectations
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
