Full Job Description
This role drives enterprise-wide transformation of Humana’s Ways of Working by shaping and enabling portfolio operating models, ART design, and leadership behaviors across the enterprise. The role partners directly with SVPs, VPs, and senior leaders to influence how portfolios are operationalized, prioritized, and executed to achieve measurable business outcomes.
Rather than focusing on ceremony or process adherence, this role is accountable for helping leaders translate transformation strategy into practical, scalable execution—improving alignment, predictability, and value delivery across portfolios and value streams. The Sr. Portfolio Enablement Lead brings deep expertise in organizational transformation, operating model design, and large-scale change, and applies that experience to guide leaders through complex, multi-layered transitions.
The role works across one or more portfolios, facilitating critical decision-making sessions, diagnosing systemic delivery challenges, and advising leadership on tradeoffs, flow efficiency, and structural improvements. It plays a key role in evolving portfolio and ART design to support enterprise agility, while fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation.
This position may support PI-level planning and high-visibility initiatives, but the emphasis is on enterprise enablement and transformation—not delivery management. The role operates with significant autonomy, exercising judgment within broad frameworks and influencing enterprise standards, practices, and transformation strategy.

The Senior Planning & Delivery Enablement role supports the enterprise-wide adoption of Humana Ways of Working by coaching and mentoring Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Scrum teams, and organizational leaders. This role focuses on enabling effective application of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe practices across portfolios, with an emphasis on practical execution, team-level improvement, and consistent adoption of standards.
The Senior enablement role partners with one or more portfolios facilitates working sessions, and provide hands-on guidance to leaders, contractors, and associates in applying Humana Ways of Working in their daily activities. This role helps guide portfolios through transformations and reinforces adherence to established practices, while fostering collaboration, predictability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
This role contributes to building a culture of learning and innovation by applying Humana processes and principles and sharing proven practices across teams and portfolios. They may support PI-level planning and execution for high-profile initiatives, providing coaching, facilitation, and real-time enablement to improve delivery outcomes.
The Senior Enterprise Planning & Delivery Enablement Lead works under general direction and is expected to independently apply expertise to resolve moderately complex issues. The role exercises judgment within defined frameworks, escalating more complex or enterprise-impacting decisions to Lead-level roles. This position contributes to shaping portfolio-level and ART-level practices, they may provide input into broader enablement strategies.
Required Qualifications
  • On-camera participation during meetings
  • Active SAFe® certification: SPC 6.0 (or obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Typically 5+ years of related experience enabling business and technology portfolios, including experience working with senior leaders in a advisory capacity
  • Proven role-based career experience in SAFe environments as a Scrum Master, RTE, Agile Coach, or similar Lean-Agile practitioner role
  • Strong understanding of Lean Portfolio Management and Agile,methodologies at scale
  • Demonstrated ability to support execution across value streams and complex initiatives
  • Proven ability to partner effectively with Technology, Product, Business, and Portfolio teams
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and coaching skills, with strong emotional intelligence
  • Passion for improving consumer and associate experiences through continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field
  • SAFe Program Consultant (ASPC) 6.0 (advanced level)
  • Experience with Agile lifecycle management tools (e.g., Jira Align, Azure DevOps)
  • Experience in healthcare or health solutions industry
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Knowledge of Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC)
  • Experience partnering closely with Product Management

Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.
Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

This role participates in virtual meetings where active engagement is expected, and on-camera participation will be encouraged when appropriate.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


$115,200 - $158,400 per year


This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
