OverviewSr Philanthropic Gift Officer is responsible for planning, leading and executing Children's Mercy Hospital's strategies to secure major and principal philanthropic support from local, regional and national individuals, families and private and corporate foundations by forging strong internal and external relationships, providing exceptional donor experience and managing high-level relationships on behalf of the department to close major gifts of $50,000 and above, with a focus on securing six- and seven-figure commitments in support of the mission of Children's Mercy Hospital. The position serves as a trusted fundraising partner to hospital, research, clinical, and executive leadership, translating institutional priorities into compelling philanthropic opportunities through the development of strong internal and external relationships, exceptional donor engagement, and strategic portfolio management.

Qualifications- Master's Degree and 3-5 years experience Progressively responsible fundraising experience with demonstrated success securing major gifts, foundation grants, corporate support or principal gifts. Grant writing experience is preferred. Philanthropic fundraising experience in the not-for-profit sector would be ideal. Healthcare fundraising experience would be excellent. The most important factor, however, is to possess the skills required to forge, sustain and build relationships with donors. or

Starting PayOur pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $48.12/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
