Full Job Description

Estimated annual base pay: $85,000(minimum) - $110,000(midpoint) - $136,000(maximum)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Payroll Processing and Administration: Oversee and process accurate and timely payroll for employees, ensuring compliance with company policies, federal/state/provincial regulations, and tax laws. Utilize Workday, OSV, and ADP Workforce Now to manage payroll workflows, data input, and reporting. Handle payroll across multiple countries, including the United States and Canada, ensuring compliance with international payroll regulations.
  • System Expertise and Maintenance: Serve as the subject matter expert for payroll systems like Workday, OSV, and ADP Workforce Now, ensuring system optimization and troubleshooting issues. Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to configure and maintain payroll system integrations and upgrades. Leverage system tools to automate payroll processes, improve reporting, and enhance data accuracy.
  • Process Improvement and Documentation: Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, workflows, and system functionality for greater efficiency and accuracy. Create and maintain detailed payroll process documentation, ensuring clear guidelines for compliance and continuity. Lead or participate in payroll-related projects, including system implementations, migrations, or new country expansions.
  • Audit and Reconciliation: Conduct regular audits of payroll data to verify the accuracy of timekeeping, tax deductions, and benefit contributions. Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Training and Mentorship: Train and mentor junior payroll staff on systems, processes, and compliance requirements. Share expertise in payroll systems like Workday, OSV, and ADP Workforce Now to enhance team capabilities


Key Skills:
  • Extensive System Experience: Advanced knowledge of Workday, OSV, and ADP Workforce Now for payroll management and reporting.
  • Global Payroll Administration: Experience managing payroll operations across multiple countries, including knowledge of international tax treaties, expatriate payroll, and local labor laws.
  • Analytical and Detail-Oriented: Strong ability to analyze payroll data, identify trends, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of labor laws, tax regulations, and payroll compliance standards in the U.S. and Canada.
  • Audit and Reconciliation: Experience conducting payroll audits, reconciliations, and variance analyses to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Multi-tasking and Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple payroll cycles and deadlines across various regions.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Strong ability to analyze payroll data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
  • Process Automation and Optimization: Proven ability to identify inefficiencies in payroll processes and implement solutions, including automation tools or streamlined workflows.
  • Change and Project Management: Experience leading payroll system implementations, migrations, or upgrades, including coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring project success.
  • Employee Relations and Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate complex payroll policies and procedures to employees at all levels, including conducting training sessions or workshops to ensure understanding and compliance.
