Full Job Description
Sophia is seeking a Sr. Partner Success Manager to own and grow a portfolio of our largest and most complex university partnerships. As a senior individual contributor, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to institutional leaders, develop a deep understanding of each partner’s priorities, and identify opportunities to strengthen transferability, expand the relationship, and increase the value Sophia provides to the institution and its students. This role reports to the Director of Partner Success. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • Own the overall success, retention, and growth of a portfolio of Sophia Learning’s largest and most complex university partnerships • Manage multiple high-priority partnerships and deliverables simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail • Develop a deep understanding of each institution’s strategic priorities, student populations, academic policies, organizational structure, and decision-making processes • Create and execute comprehensive account plans; Relentlessly analyze partner data, performance, and trends to uncover growth opportunities and develop creative strategies that expand the partnership’s impact • Use qualitative and quantitative data to assess partnership health, demonstrate value, identify trends, and make actionable recommendations to partner and internal stakeholders • Proactively identify opportunities to expand transferability to increase learner awareness and adoption • Build and maintain relationships across multiple levels and functional areas within partner institutions • Lead strategic partner meetings and business reviews; Translate Sophia’s value proposition, learner outcomes, and strategic initiatives into clear and compelling narratives for both executive and operational audiences. • Lead partner escalations within assigned accounts, coordinating internal stakeholders and communicating clearly with the partner through resolution • Drive and be accountable for institutional adoption of new Sophia products and services, developing strategies that connect each offering to partner priorities and demonstrate clear value to the institution and its learners. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, Operations, and other teams to deliver a coordinated partner experience and advance partnership objectives • Identify and share effective practices, resources, and insights that strengthen the Partner Success team’s approach to managing university relationships • Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Job Skills: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong presentation skills and the ability to make complex information easy to understand • Strategic thinker who can anticipate partner needs and identify opportunities for growth • Consultative problem solver who asks thoughtful questions and recommends solutions • Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data into clear recommendations • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple complex partnerships and meet commitments • Sound judgment when navigating competing priorities, ambiguity, and partner escalations • Collaborative and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership for partnership outcomes Work Experience: • 3+ years of relevant work experience in higher education or edtech required • 2+ years of experience directly managing clients preferably higher education institutions required Education: Bachelor’s degree required Other: • Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant. • Able to access information using a computer. • Other essential functions and marginal job functions are subject to modification. #LI-SW1 $84,900.00-$120,000.00 is the expected starting pay for this position. This offer is based on current budgetary guidelines and additional factors outlined below. SEI offers a comprehensive package of benefits to employees scheduled 30 hours or more per week. In addition to medical, dental, vision, life and disability plans, SEI employees may take advantage of well-being incentives, parental leave, paid time off, certain paid holidays, tax saving accounts (FSA, HSA), 401(k) retirement benefit, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, tuition assistance as well as entertainment and retail discounts. Non-exempt employees are eligible for overtime pay, if applicable. $84,900.00 - $127,400.00 - Salary
