Full Job Description
Connsci is seeking a Senior Microsoft Power Platform Solution & Security Lead to join our growing organization in support of one of our government customers. This individaul will lead the architecture and hands-on delivery of a mission-critical CRM modernization from legacy Microsoft Dynamics CRM to the Microsoft Power Platform. This role owns the target application architecture, Power Platform implementation, workflow modernization, and security model for sensitive audit, investigation, whistle-blower, correspondence, executive-request, and reporting processes. The ideal candidate is a senior practitioner who can design, configure, test, document, deploy, and stabilize production solutions while leading technical decisions with client stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the target solution architecture. Assess the legacy Dynamics data model, workflows, security roles, reports, and known functional issues; define the target Dataverse model, Power Apps experience, Power Automate flows, environment structure, solution layering, and application lifecycle management approach.
  • Lead workflow and functional modernization. Create the legacy-to-target workflow inventory and equivalence matrix; configure or direct configuration of forms, views, tabs, business rules, roles, timelines, and approved functional corrections while preserving or improving OCIG and executive workflows.
  • Design and implement the security model. Implement least-privilege access using Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management, Dataverse security roles, business units/teams, table and column security, data masking, and granular record-level restrictions.
  • Protect highly sensitive records. Design controls for whistle-blower information, segregation of audit and investigation access, restricted-record visibility, privileged-action logging, and administrator elevation controls.
  • Own security validation and operational readiness. Develop security test plans and evidence, validate logging and monitoring, support bypass/negative testing, and contribute operational and incident-response guidance for the platform.
  • Drive release quality. Lead technical design reviews, UAT and regression support, defect resolution, deployment planning, rollback readiness, production implementation, administrator training, operations handoff, and post-deployment stabilization.
  • Produce delivery-grade documentation. Create or lead creation of architecture/runbook materials, security designs and policy catalogs, configuration documentation, test evidence, training aids, deployment packages, operations guides, and stabilization reports.
  • Lead cross-functional technical collaboration. Run business and technical workshops, translate decisions into clear design/configuration/test artifacts, and coordinate closely with the Data Migration & Integration Lead and Program Manager.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Prior experience supporting government inspector general, audit, investigation, complaint, or other high-sensitivity case-management workflows.
  • Ability to lead workshops with business and technical stakeholders and convert decisions into precise, testable, and auditable implementation artifacts.
  • Strong production delivery discipline across UAT, regression testing, deployment, rollback, technical documentation, runbooks, training, and stabilization.

Required Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of experience modernizing Microsoft Dynamics CRM including workflow conversion, migration coordination, cutover, and post-release support.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse
  • At least 5 years of experience with Microsoft identity/security controls, including security roles, business units, teams, table/column security, record sharing/restrictions, Entra ID, MFA, Conditional Access, PIM, and audit logging.
  • At least 3 years of experience designing secure role- and record-level controls for sensitive or restricted data in a government or other highly regulated environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant Microsoft Power Platform and/or Azure certifications; security certifications such as CISSP are a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering solutions subject to public-sector cybersecurity, records-retention, accessibility, and audit requirements.
