Job Description

You will be the Sr Mgr, Military Operations Analysis Combat Air for the Aero Programs Team which is responsible for leading constructive and virtual assessments that support Lockheed Martin's fighter programs.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Sr Mgr, Military Operations Analysis Combat Air you will be responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team that delivers military utility assessments, air-combat performance analysis, and operational-improvement studies for F-16, F-35, and F-22 programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the Aero Programs Team in planning and executing assessments that meet cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Oversee military utility and air-combat performance analyses, including integration of Air Combat Modernization capabilities.
  • Manage earned-value performance, resource allocation, task prioritization, and workforce development across a diverse portfolio.
  • Provide instructor-pilot support and validate operational capability in the F-35 Manned Tactical Simulation and other HITL simulations.
  • Interface with MOA leadership, business development, strategic groups, customers, and senior aeronautics executives to align analytical efforts.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance to start.

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree or above from an accredited institution.
• Extensive Leadership experience; including team building, task leadership, performance management, and talent development.
• Experience in operations analysis processes, techniques, and modeling & simulation; including, experience with at least one of the following simulation tools and models (AFSIM, EADSIM, Suppressor, JIMM, ESAMS, Brawler, MOSAIC, RADGUNS, RCAT, FLOWTOOL, CFAM, STORM, Thunder, ARCTIC, Virtual Simulation, Operator-in-the-Loop)
• Experience with military operations, fighter aircraft, combat weapon systems, joint and/or coalition warfare.

Desired skills
• Post graduate education/experience in a technical field: engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science, or operations research.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving skills are required, as well as experience working in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
• The candidate should possess exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent team building skills, be well organized and demonstrated proficiency in oral & written communication skills.
• Proof of excellent customer interaction & coordination skills; i.e., illustrate the ability to comfortably interface with and brief civilian, government, DoD, military service and industry senior leaders.
• Working knowledge of operational concepts and concepts of employment for LM Aeronautics programs (F-16, F-35, F-22, ADP).

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $151,200 - $266,570. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $173,900 - $301,415. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
