Job Summary

This position is responsible for managing collection and recording of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SAP (Statutory Accounting Principles) reporting of corporate financial transactions for HCSC and subsidiaries; directing preparation of interim and annual corporate financial reports, analyses, and exhibits for HCSC senior management, board of directors, and various reporting authorities including reports to over 40 states (National Carrier); reporting corporate results using the corporate scorecard, divisional reporting, incentive corporate reporting; monitoring accounting rule changes as implemented by NAIC, Financial Accounting Standards Board, SEC and Other Accounting Regulatory Agencies; overseeing collection and recording of monthly transactions for cost center processing; overseeing communication with auditors; reviewing responses for quality and consistency; responding to queries about overall process and procedures; providing final approval of department journal entries and account reconciliations; assisting in development and coordination of major financial reporting system changes associated with new product lines, mergers and acquisitions; overseeing implementation of those change; and coordinating with Actuarial, Legal, Cost Accounting, Treasury, and Tax.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with concentration in accounting.
  • 10 years accounting experience.
  • 5 years supervisory experience.
  • PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.

This is a Flex (Hybrid) role: 3 days in office; 2 days remote.

The compensation offered will vary depending on your job-related skills, education, knowledge, and experience. This role aligns with an annual incentive bonus plan subject to the terms and the conditions of the plan.

Base Pay Range
$92,700.00 - $167,500.00
