Full Job Description
Job Summary:

Fortress US is seeking a Sr. Marketing Manager to join its Marketing Department, reporting to the Vice President, Business & Development. This role drives the execution of Fortress US's marketing plans and processes, working closely with executives on brand strategy while independently leading day-to-day marketing operations and delivery. .

Key responsibilities include implementing marketing strategy and brand positioning set in partnership with the President; representing Fortress US at industry events and conferences; owning content strategy across web, social, and email channels; leading brand and creative execution; and managing budgets, vendors, and agency relationships. The Sr. Marketing Manager collaborates closely with Sales, Operations, Events, and executive leadership to align marketing with business goals.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including brand strategy and team management, strong creative judgment, and a bias toward action - someone who can execute hands-on without heavy oversight.

This is a great opportunity for a strategic, hands-on marketing leader ready to help shape the brand of a growing organization. Willingness to travel for events and conferences is required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Leadership & Marketing Strategy
  • Define and own Fortress US's overall marketing, ensuring alignment with corporate positioning, business objectives, and brand guidelines
  • Set strategic direction for growing brand awareness and expanding into new geographic and market segments, partnering with business development and executive leadership to attract new customers and strategic partners
  • Establish KPIs, reporting structures, and success metrics for the marketing function; evaluate ROI across campaigns and initiatives
  • Ensure marketing initiatives align with approved budgets, organizational goals, and contractual commitments
  • Represent Fortress US at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, in both a strategic and on-the-ground execution capacity
  • Develop pre-event, on-site, and post-event marketing collateral (invitations, signage, presentations, follow-up campaigns) that support attendance and pipeline goals
  • Coordinate logistics and marketing needs for sponsorships, speaking engagements, and booth presence as needed

Digital Marketing

  • Own content strategy and the editorial calendar for Fortress US's owned channels (website, social media, email, LinkedIn, etc.), setting standards for tone, quality, and cadence
  • Oversee website content strategy, updates, and ongoing optimization
  • Manage social media platforms, content calendars, and posting cadence
  • Write, edit, and refine key marketing communications and materials
  • Monitor engagement metrics and performance analytics to guide digital strategy

Brand & Creative
  • Lead the design of new brand assets, guidelines, and visual identity elements in partnership with design resources (internal or agency)
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints - digital, print, event, and internal communications
  • Bring fresh creative concepts to campaigns, presentations, and collateral that elevate Fortress US's market presence

Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a hands-on executor who can independently drive deliverables from concept to completion, not just manage from a distance
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Events, and Leadership to align marketing efforts with broader business objectives
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and freelance creative/production partners
  • Develop and manage marketing budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across initiatives

Education and Experience:
  • 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, including brand strategy, digital marketing, and integrated campaign management
  • Proven experience managing a marketing and/or creative services team, including direct people management
  • Experience overseeing external agency partners, including budget and performance management
  • Experience with event or conference marketing strongly preferred
  • Strong eye for brand and design, with experience developing or evolving brand identity systems
  • Proficiency with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., marketing automation, HubSpot, Google Analytics, social media management, email platforms)
    • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, budgets, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to boards, committees, and executive leadership
  • A bias toward action - able to both set strategy and execute hands-on without heavy oversight
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Willingness to travel for events and conferences as needed

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to translate business goals into actionable marketing plans
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for executive, client, and public audiences
  • Demonstrated leadership and people-management skills, including coaching, delegation, and performance management
  • Strong creative judgment and eye for design, brand consistency, and visual storytelling
  • Proficiency with digital marketing and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, CRM, marketing automation, social media management tools)
  • Skilled in budget development, forecasting, and financial accountability for marketing spend
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation and vendor/agency management skills
  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in representing the organization externally
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across departments and with external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma) a plus

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, using a computer and other office equipment, for extended periods
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both in person and via phone, video, and written correspondence
  • Ability to travel by car and air to events, conferences, and offsite meetings as needed, including occasional overnight and multi-day travel
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move event or marketing materials up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain on your feet for extended periods while representing the organization at events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer, mobile devices, and standard office equipment
