Full Job Description
What you'll do
  • The Senior Market Development Manager is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and developing new growth opportunities within the Building & Construction Industry segment for the ACA Strategic Business Unit.
  • This role focuses on understanding the evolving needs of primary building material manufacturers and translating market insights into scalable business opportunities aligned with Henkel's strategic priorities.
  • The position leads the process of researching market trends, assessing opportunity attractiveness, coordinating pilot initiatives, and transitioning validated growth opportunities to commercial and business teams for execution.
  • Monitor market trends, industry dynamics, regulations, and emerging technologies impacting building material manufacturers.
  • Identify unmet market needs and new application, technology, and business opportunities aligned with ACA strategy.
  • Conduct market assessments, customer research, value chain analysis, and business case development.Evaluate and prioritize opportunities based on strategic fit, market potential, competitive landscape, and feasibility.
  • Lead pilot and validation projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop commercialization recommendations and transition validated opportunities to business, marketing, product management, and sales teams.
  • Maintain a pipeline of growth opportunities and provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Collaborate with Innovation, Product Development, Marketing, Sales, and regional teams to accelerate growth initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Construction Management, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in market development, business development, strategic marketing, product management, innovation, or related commercial roles.
  • Experience within building materials, construction, specialty chemicals, adhesives, sealants, or industrial manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong market research, analytical, and business case development skills.
  • Ability to identify trends and convert insights into actionable growth opportunities.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through commercialization.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and market intelligence tools.

The salary range for this role is $110,000.00 and $130,000.00. This range represents the good-faith minimum and maximum wages the Company reasonably expects to offer for this role at the time of posting. In addition to base salary, this position may be eligible for incentive pay or other forms of compensation, as applicable. The Company also offers a comprehensive benefits package as described above. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as the candidate's skills, experience, education, training, and work location. This posting is intended to comply with all applicable state and local pay transparency laws.
