Job Description Summary
In this role, employee will co-develop & implement processes relating to readiness and capacity with airfoils castings suppliers. Employee will lead the implementation of this process with specific airfoils casting suppliers ensuring that there is cadence and proactive problem solving in the space. The goal for this role will be to ensure there is an understanding of current state and a plan to meet global requirements from this commodity as demand increases over a rolling 3-year window. The role has autonomy within the Castings Commodity to create and drive rhythms to serve readiness and requires high levels of evaluative judgment and operational acumen to achieve desired business outcomes.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Supplier Relationship Leadership (Castings)
    • Develop joint operating rhythms with priority suppliers; establish technical and executive escalation pathways
    • Lead detailed capability and capacity assessments covering wholistic supplier value stream
    • Align on capacity investments (tooling/dies, furnaces/presses, NDE assets), secondary processing partnerships, dual-sourcing, and risk-sharing mechanisms
    • Up to 20% travel
  • Cross-Functional Engagement
    • Partner with Design Engineering, Casting Technologists and Quality on tooling qualification and producibility for complex geometries and tight tolerances
    • Coordinate with S&OP and Program teams to translate demand signals into firm capacity plans, factoring long lead tooling, die refurbishment, and other capacity lead times. Owns alignment and capacity readiness to long range forecasts
    • Partner with the Central Readiness team to continuously improve readiness processes and forecasts within the Turbine Airfoils Castings Commodity
    • Build action plans and apply structured problem solving to alleviate the constraints in conjunction with the Supplier Team
    • Communicate supplier's constraints to be incorporated in S&OP rhythms to respond to demand changes
  • Capacity Planning and Readiness (Castings)
    • Own 12-36+ month capacity modeling for suppliers and part families; maintain risk mitigation action plans
    • Manage NPI rate readiness: ensure critical value stream capacity readiness for NPI delivery, including staffing
  • Talent Development and Ways of Working
    • Build and mentor a high-performing supplier readiness team with deep casting process knowledge; define/refine competencies, training, and succession plans
    • Refine standard work, visual management, and tiered operating cadence to sustain performance
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making
  • Performance Management
    • Improve SQDC performance with a focus on OTD, FPY, lead time, past dues, and cost adherence
    • Provide executive-readiness statuses on readiness action plans and risk mitigations aligned to ramp milestones


Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing, Supply Chain, Operations, or Project Management

The base pay range for this position is $157,000-$209,000 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on 07/29/26.
