General Summary:**This is NOT an IT Security position**This role requires to be onsite full time in San DiegoJob Description:The candidate will have two main responsibilities:
Assist in Establishing and Manning a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) in San DiegoWork closely with Global Security leadership and the Emergency Operations Team to establish a location in San Diego that can identify, assess, monitor, and appropriately direct responses to incidents worldwide. These events may include weather/natural disasters, crime, demonstrations, power outages, travel safety, executive travel, civil unrest, etc.
Responsibilities include defining objectives and requirements, designing the SOC architecture, developing policies and procedures, training GSOC staff, selecting appropriate technology, implementing threat intelligence integration, creating incident response protocols, and coordinating with individuals and internal teams globally.
Function as an Executive Protection (EP) AgentAugment the full-time EP team as needed.
Be part of Qualcomm's EP team, requiring availability for frequent travel.
Work closely with Assistants to the CEO and other Exec. VPs, Corporate Aviation, local teams, and others to plan and execute the safe and efficient travel of top Executives.
Responsibilities include scheduling ground transportation, advancing sites to be visited, security and threat assessments, briefing drivers, and coordinating with U.S. diplomatic missions and foreign government protection details. May also be required to drive executives on occasion.
Flexibility to deal with constant scheduling changes is a must, along with maintaining a positive attitude and building strong relationships both internally and externally.
This may turn into a full-time executive protection role.

- Background in counterterrorism / Experience with a Joint Terrorism Task Force preferred
- Bachelor's degree
Minimum Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Security or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree and 10+ years of Security or related work experience.
OR
High School Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Security or related work experience.
*Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $136,000.00 - $204,000.00
