The Sr. Manager, Safety/PSM provides strategic and operational leadership for environmental, health, safety, and Process Safety Management (PSM)programs at the global level. This role is accountable for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, driving a strong safety culture, and integratingriskbasedsafety practices into manufacturing and operational activities. The position plays a critical role in protecting employees,maintainingoperational continuity, and supporting DePuy Synthes92 commitment to safe, compliant, and sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage global Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring alignment with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with global and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Drive the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Partner with site leadership, engineering, and operations to proactivelyidentifyand mitigate safety risks.
- Lead safety audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions; ensuretimelyclosure of findings and corrective actions.
- Analyze safety performance metrics and trends to informdecisionmakingand drive sustainable improvements.
- Coach, develop, and influence leaders and employees to strengthen safety awareness and accountability.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor92s degreerequiredin Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, ora relatedtechnical field.
- Master92s degree preferred.
Experience and Skills
Required:
- Minimum 8 610 years of progressive experience in Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing complex safety programs at the site or organizational level.
- Proven ability to lead investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action programs.
- Experience influencing senior leaders andcrossfunctionalteams to drive safety performance.
Preferred:
- Experience supporting PSM implementation at a site or global level
- Familiarity with global EHS management systems and corporate governance models.
- Experience supporting pharmaceutical, medical device, or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, andproblemsolvingskills.
- Experience leading cultural transformation initiatives related to safety and risk management.
- Prior experience working with regulatory agencies and during inspections or audits.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :
$122000.00 - $245000.00

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company92s consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
