Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Environmental Health and Safety Regional Manager is the content expert to lead and develop the safety and environmental culture within Rinnai America Corp. This role is responsible to lead the development and execution of RAC EH&S strategy and goals to ensure the highest quality of safety and service is provided in compliance with federal, state and local regulatory requirements and established RAC policies and procedures. S/he monitors compliance with EHS regulations; coordinates EHS compliance audits; develops and implements EHS systems; supports company policies adhering to local, state, and federal environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations; and manages compliance projects to remediate known areas of concern.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement all EHS elements within the 4 RAC sites and in the field. Develop and implement process for system audits to monitor conformance to requirements and to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop, manage and take ownership of all system and safety compliance related elements (OSHA) that are applicable to the sites. Create safety programs for RAC that are consistent with corporate programs and systems. Ensure that all associate training is provided and documented to meet requirements.
  • Champion all Safety engagement programs. Ensure that all management and associates are engaged in the programs and the teams are actively working towards meeting identified objectives.
  • Lead Incident Investigations related to associate injuries, near misses, property damage, etc. Assume responsibility for the completion of all action items related to the investigations.
  • Develop safety strategy for EH&S improvements based on trend analysis.
  • Offer advisory and guidance to international business units for Rinnai LATAM.
  • Serve as company center of excellence for the MSDS system.
  • Develop and implement strategy to ensure routine EHSS and system audits to ensure compliance and support continuous improvement. Report any concerns to appropriate resources.
  • Develop effective safety educational programs that align with RAC EH&S strategy
  • Support HR to manage workers compensation claims with external workers comp partner
  • Embrace and support growing business demands in a changing environment.
  • Support Corporate Safety Steering Committee in development of Company Policies and Procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as required.


Job Requirements:

Knowledge

  • Bachelor degree in Safety Management, Environmental or Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or other related degree required.
  • 10+ years of experience leading Health & Safety programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Certification as Lean and/or Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
  • Basic financial acumen to understand financial impact of decisions on the operation.


Skills

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A proven ability to effectively lead and manage in a complex, multi-faceted role.
  • Computer literacy to include but not limited to MS Office products.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
