Full Job Description
Meet the team:

The Senior Manager, Policy, will support the development and execution of the company's reimbursement strategy across private, public, and government programs. This role will be responsible for policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration to help advance patient access and reimbursement for Dexcom products. The Senior Manager will monitor and assess healthcare policy developments, provide strategic recommendations, and contribute to initiatives that support favorable coverage, coding, and payment outcomes.

Where you come in:
  • Analyze and communicate access and payment policies proposed by government and commercial payers, including CMS rules, guidance, and legislative proposals.
  • Monitor and synthesize policy developments, translating implications into actionable insights and recommendations for internal stakeholders.
  • Partner with internal teams and external consultants to support engagement efforts with policymakers, industry associations, and other healthcare stakeholders.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. coding, coverage, and payment policies, helping assess the potential financial and business impacts of policy changes.
  • Collaborate with Government Affairs to track and analyze federal and state legislative and regulatory developments affecting access to Dexcom products.
  • Support education and communication efforts related to managed care policy and reimbursement trends, including Medicare (Parts A, B, C, and D), Medicaid, commercial plans, exchange plans, and value-based care models.
  • Work cross-functionally with Market Access, Health Economics, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Legal, and Commercial teams to inform policy and reimbursement strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policy plans that support U.S. business objectives and patient access goals.
  • Support initiatives to secure, maintain, and expand coverage and reimbursement for Dexcom products across public and private payer channels.
  • Monitor changes in the payer landscape and identify emerging risks and opportunities to improve market access.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade association meetings, patient advocacy events, and other external forums.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.


What Makes You Successful:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in healthcare policy, reimbursement, market access, government affairs, or advocacy organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of the healthcare reimbursement environment, including coverage, coding, and payment methodologies across public and commercial payers.
  • Direct experience working within the diabetes, medical device, biotechnology, or broader healthcare industry is highly desirable.
  • Experience analyzing complex policy issues and evaluating potential financial and business impacts.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Excellent analytical, written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Understanding of healthcare policy, reimbursement, and regulatory dynamics impacting medical technologies.
  • Experience supporting market access, reimbursement, or policy initiatives that enhance patient access to innovative healthcare products.

Experience and Education Requirements:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree with 13+ years of industry experience
  • 5-8 years of previous people management experience
