Sr. Manager, Operations Governance, FPDS
Capital One's Finance Product and Data Solutions (FPDS) organization operates an established Operations Governance team embedded within the FPDS Product organization. FPDS Product manages a portfolio of products and data pipelines that support Capital One's broader Finance organization and the enterprise at large—products that are transforming the way we do business and who support fundamental, business-critical capabilities.
This role is an opportunity to join and elevate our FPDS data operations, driving end-to-end operational governance, financial controls, and system reliability across our existing ecosystem. With this in mind, we are looking for innovative, bold leaders that take ownership in driving outcomes while influencing and collaborating with a diverse group of stakeholders with varying perspectives and priorities.
General Responsibilities:
Operational & Pipeline Governance: Oversee 24/7 data monitoring and SLA compliance across core pipelines; lead daily standups, manage stakeholder communications via Slack, and maintain high-priority tracking for LRM/HPU datasets during critical month-end windows.
Financial Control & Compliance Execution: Drive monthly General Ledger reconciliation processes, direct deep-dive variance reviews, approve summary artifacts for DDRO sign-offs, and ensure strict audit compliance.
Incident Management & Engineering Partnership: Manage operational incident triage, handle partner escalations, track resolutions, and collaborate weekly with engineering leads to prioritize pipeline fixes and prevent recurring defects.
Data Quality & Governance Oversight: Direct annual control reviews in Fuse, manage automated Data Quality thresholds alongside Data Stewards, and ensure quarterly maintenance of active Data Provisioning Agreements (DPAs).
Operational Framework Modernization: Modernize existing operational frameworks by bridging continuous improvement efforts with core customer success objectives, establishing robust measurement frameworks to evaluate operational effectiveness.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement: Manage and lead a high-performing team of associates while continually identifying opportunities for process enhancement.

10+ years of Project Management experience
PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong problem solving and influencing skills

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $163,900 - $187,100 for Sr Manager, Process ManagementRichmond, VA: $149,000 - $170,000 for Sr Manager, Process Management
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate’s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
