About the Role

The Senior Manager, FP&A serves as a strategic finance partner to the Investments and Product organizations, supporting comprehensive planning, forecasting, analysis, and reporting of financial performance. Reporting to the Finance Business Partner for Investments and Product this highly visible role combines advanced financial modeling, complex analysis, and executive-level communication to influence decision-making and drive financial excellence across the business. Role Summary

Designs and delivers highly complex financial analytics and reporting. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of own work. Provides guidance and coaching to direct reports as well as other team members, as needed, and contributes to the overall goals of the FP&A organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with Accounting and business partners on actual results, budgets, and forecast activities to ensure accuracy and consistency. Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and executive-level summaries for senior management. Distill and synthesize complex issues into clear narratives, communicating key messages and actionable recommendations to leadership. 
  • Lead the annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes for the Investments organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and business strategy. 
  • Perform in-depth analysis on business unit financials and products to identify trends, risks, and opportunities. Perform P&L analysis of the business incorporating AUM and revenue components to present to senior leadership.
  • Develop business cases and evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic projects, including ROI-based analysis and post-implementation tracking. Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to evaluate key business drivers and support resource-allocation decisions. Serve as a trusted advisor and finance partner to functional leaders, influencing decisions at the senior level.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning, accountability, and high performance. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve data integrity, and enhance reporting accuracy through automation and standardization. 

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • 8+ years of total relevant work experience

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated expertise in complex, driver-based financial modeling and building scalable models
  • Superior communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to succinctly brief executive leadership and translate complex data into a clear narrative
  • Experience in asset management, investment management, or financial services industry
  • Experience preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, dashboards, and executive-level summaries for senior management
  • Experience with PowerBI or Tableau for creating dashboards
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing teams, with a strong track record of coaching talent, driving performance, and fostering engagement

FINRA licenses are not required and will not be supported for this role.

 

Work Flexibility 

This role is eligible for hybrid work, with up to one day per week from home.

Base Salary Ranges

$110,000.00 - $188,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$121,000.00 - $207,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$138,000.00 - $236,000.00 for the location of: New York, California

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
