Job Overview
The Senior DC Operations Manager will lead a group of operations and facilities managers to ensure all operational targets are met while continually adjusting and adapting to the changing job priorities. Balancing workloads between all warehouse departments is necessary in maximizing workflow, to meet customer commitments and deadlines, establishing building goals are important.
In partnership with the building Director and peers, preparation for the multiple business cycles throughout the year is a primary responsibility. This is a growth role allowing the Senior Operations Manager to lead the facility when the Director is not on-site.
This is an on-site position based in our Solon, OH Distribution Center.

Ability to lead day-to-day warehouse operations through a team of operations and facilities managers
Experience driving cross-functional workflow balance and ensure execution of customer commitments
Ability to manage departmental budgets, analyze P&L statements, and support capital planning
Ability to work with a diversified workforce and maintain constant open communication on all policies and procedures
High level of collaboration across departments including inventory, HR, LP, and merchandising
Desire to promote a culture of safety and maintain high housekeeping standards
Experience monitoring KPIs and driving performance improvements through data-driven decision making
Ability to support business needs through flexible scheduling, including weekends/holidays
Preferred Competencies & Skills
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree – preferred
6+ years of senior leadership experience in a warehouse environment
Experience maintaining budget and targeted expenses by reviewing monthly P & L, Capex Expenditures and approving invoicing; driving continuous improvement to exceed budgeted P &L metrics; raise your own bar
Experience managing teams and people; to include performance management, fostering continuous learning, growth and development and creating succession plans to build depth on the bench
Experience in managing staffing and hitting targeted goals, working with partners on effective recruitment strategies
Experience in working with cross-functional teams
Experience in working with third party labor partners and co-employment
Proven ability to focus on quality and accuracy – minimizing product damage
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced warehouse environment
Must be a critical thinker who can analyze data and problem solve
Strong communication skills including written, verbal and listening
Ability to work under stressful conditions and adapt while making operational decisions
Proficient in using a warehouse management system (WMS) – as well as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
Furniture or other big-ticket experience
Mathematical and analytical aptitude

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. Opportunities:
