Full Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW

Good Sam is seeking a Credit Card Operations Sr. Manager/Director to lead program and field operations for our Credit Card business. This role reports to the Credit Card & Payments Program Director and is central to our enterprise growth agenda - shaping how the Credit Card business delivers measurable acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience within a co-brand credit card program and will be comfortable setting strategy (25%) and driving execution (75%). You'll work across Marketing, Field, Digital Product, IT, Learning & Development, and Analytics - and will serve as a key liaison to our issuing bank partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Field Strategy & Execution
  • Design and deploy a comprehensive field acquisition strategy that drives measurable credit card enrollment across Good Sam's network of dealerships, campgrounds, and events.
  • Build and maintain field-facing playbooks, tools, and training programs in partnership with Learning & Development.
  • Serve as the primary operational liaison between corporate and frontline field teams, ensuring consistent program messaging and performance accountability.
  • Partner with on-site field leadership (Market Managers, Store Managers, Campground Owners/Operators) to influence training, accountability, and sales.

Bank Partner Management
  • Lead joint marketing planning and execution with bank partners, aligning on campaign calendars, co-investment priorities, and performance KPIs.
  • Oversee the annual Joint Marketing Fund, including budgeting, planning, and execution of field incentives and marketing promotions to drive acquisition and engagement.
  • Manage partner communications, escalations, and reporting cadences to maintain a high-trust, results-oriented relationship.
  • Identify and advance opportunities to enhance the credit card value proposition through payment innovation and product optimization.

Program Operations
  • Deploy technical roadmap against program vision, portfolio objectives, and revenue goals.
  • Lead end-to-end workstreams across internal/external partners ensuring initiatives are delivered on time, on strategy, and with operational excellence.
  • Own program reporting infrastructure - developing dashboards, tracking acquisition and activation metrics, and translating data into executive-ready narratives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional planning cycles including annual budgeting, QBRs, and go-to-market calendars.
  • Manage internal communications for the credit card program across stakeholder groups.
  • Implement structured Change Management tactics to optimize product roll-outs, benefit enhancements, and training overhauls.
  • Identify process gaps and implement operational improvements that increase program efficiency and scalability.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with Marketing on member acquisition, lifecycle, and retention campaigns tailored to card benefits and usage behavior.
  • Partner with key internal/external marketing stakeholders to deploy proactive strategies against long-term vision while reacting to short-term challenges and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Digital Product and IT on cardholder experience enhancements and integration initiatives.
  • Work with Analytics to define measurement frameworks, run post-campaign analyses, and surface actionable insights.
  • Continually evolve reporting and analytics to support acquisition performance management.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working within co-brand or private label credit card programs - brand side, issuer side, or both.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead field or channel operations, including training, enablement, and performance management.
  • Proven track record of managing bank or financial institution partnerships, including joint marketing and co-investment programs.
  • Experience collaborating across Marketing, Field, Learning & Development, Digital Product, IT, and Analytics.
  • Background in payment product innovation and value proposition development or optimization.
  • Analytical mindset: comfortable working with data, building dashboards, and translating insights into strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional communicator with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Fluent in using AI tools in a real-world marketing environment - not just as a novelty, but as a core part of how you drive strategy, execution, and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in travel, outdoor, lifestyle, or membership-based brands.
  • Familiarity with RV, camping, or enthusiast communities is a meaningful plus.
  • Experience operating within a matrixed organization with shared services.

HOW YOU WORK

You're a builder and an operator. You can write a strategy deck on Monday and be knee-deep in a field execution problem by Wednesday. You bring structure to ambiguity, communicate with clarity at every level of the organization, and hold yourself accountable to outcomes - not just activities. You know that partnerships, whether with bank partners or internal stakeholders, are won through trust, follow-through, and results.
