DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Sr. Manager, Business Ops / Finance, located in Raynham, MA or in West Chester, PA or Palm Beach Gardens, FL or Warsaw, IN or Raritan, NJ.

Job Overview

This role provides strategic and operational finance leadership to support business performance, decision-making, and long-range planning within DePuy Synthes. The Sr. Manager, Business Ops / Finance partners closely with cross-functional and senior leaders to drive financial rigor, improve processes, and enable sustainable growth. This is a highly visible role with direct impact on business results, resource allocation, and operational effectiveness across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes to support short- and long-term business objectives.


  • Partner with business and functional leaders to provide financial insights, scenario analysis, and recommendations that drive performance.


  • Oversee management reporting, variance analysis, and performance metrics to ensure transparency and accountability.


  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes, controls, and operational efficiency.


  • Support strategic initiatives, including investment evaluations, cost optimization, and business case development.


  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.


  • Lead and develop finance talent, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.


Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (required).


  • MBA or advanced degree (preferred).


Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in finance, business operations, or related roles.


  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting.


  • Proven ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders and influence at the senior leadership level.


  • Experience leading teams and developing talent in a matrixed environment.


  • Solid understanding of internal controls, compliance, and financial governance.


Preferred:

  • Experience supporting a global or multi-business organization.


  • Background in medical devices, life sciences, or a regulated industry.


  • Experience driving process improvements or finance transformation initiatives.


  • Advanced financial modeling and scenario planning capabilities.


  • Prior experience partnering with operations, supply chain, or commercial teams.


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Language: English (required).


  • Travel: Limited; up to 10-20%, primarily domestic.


  • Certifications: CPA, CMA, or similar (preferred).


Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. Additional Description for Pay Transparency:
Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Company's consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).
