Job Description

The Senior Manager, Business Development (CMO) engages in direct sales and marketing efforts by monitoring and increasing corporate sales goals and projections. This position will focus on developing new sales and marketing strategies for locations in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and Spokane, Washington, USA

This role will
  • Develop new client relationships, resulting in new sales to meet yearly fiscal goals.
  • Working with the Sales Operations group, develop business proposals for all new opportunities
  • Develop a territory plan that generates new leads and opportunities across the service offerings
  • Develop and maintain sound professional and lay relationships with all assigned customers.
  • Coordinate the contractual process with prospective customers, from the CDA to any service agreement working with the legal group and other internal stakeholders as needed.
  • Represent company at all local and regional (and sometimes national, when requested) association meetings and conferences.
  • Responsible for the complete implementation of all "marketing lead generation campaigns" for the CMO business as assigned by the VP of Sales and Marketing
  • Work on project teams as ad-hoc team member to maintain project scope and serve as a resource during the execution of projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor of Art or Science in Business, Marketing or Life Sciences required.

Skills
  • 5-10 years' experience. Pharmaceutical, FDA Regulated Industryand Business-to Business (B2B) experience required.
  • 5 years' CDMO/CMO experience required.
  • Advanced vocational/specialized knowledge.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
  • CRM Software - Salesforce.com desired.
  • The incumbent must possess technical and scientific knowledge/aptitude to appropriately relate to customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to communicate easily with clients.
  • The incumbent should have a successful work background, which would indicate achievement through self-motivation.
  • Basic exchange of information.
  • Managing conflict and influencing outcomes.
  • Critical interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to identify problems and propose solutions/corrective action to senior leadership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and manage time effectively.
  • Other Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting and standing.

Location: Remote - Full-Time

Monday- Friday 8 to 4:30pm; other hours as required.
