Full Job Description
We're looking for an Accounting Senior Manager to play a critical leadership role within our accounting team. This is a hands-on, high-impact position for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and wants to help shape the financial backbone of a rapidly expanding beauty brand. You'll own core accounting operations, lead the monthly close, and serve as a key bridge between rhode's finance team and e.l.f. Beauty's corporate accounting function - ensuring compliance, accuracy, and scalability as we grow. What You'll Do Month-End & Financial Close • Lead and own the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP. • Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and flux analyses. • Consolidate and review financial results for leadership and corporate (e.l.f. Beauty) reporting. • Manage day-to-day accounting operations across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and expense management. • Partner with the Assistant Controller to maintain and strengthen internal controls, SOX readiness, and audit compliance. • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and product development, to support their financial needs and review budget v. actuals monthly. • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and best practices to scale the accounting function. • Mentor and develop accounting staff, providing guidance, review, and growth opportunities What You'll Bring • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including roles in public accounting and/or corporate accounting at a high-growth consumer brand. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred. • Experience leading a month-end close and preparing financial statements. • Proficiency with modern ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills. • Prior experience with multi-channel consumer/retail businesses (DTC, wholesale, and/or Sephora- style retail) is a strong plus • Hands-on and detail-oriented, with the ability to see both the big picture and the granular details. • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with evolving processes. • Strong communicator who can partner effectively across functions and with corporate parent- company stakeholders. • Self-starter who takes ownership and drives initiatives from start to finish. Other Details for Consideration • Position reporting to: Assistant Controller • Location of position: Los Angeles, CA • Hybrid model: 3+ days a week in the office • Salary range budgeted: $110K-$140K $110,000 - $140,000 a year The base salary range for this role is listed above. Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.'s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
