Senior HR Manager

YOUR IMPACT STARTS HERE

We're looking for a Senior HR Manager to lead the full scope of HR operations for our Carol Stream location, overseeing employee relations, recruitment, performance management, compliance, and policy administration. You'll serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to site leadership, manage and develop HR staff, drive HR initiatives, and ensure consistent, legally sound application of policy and employment law across the site. This role calls for sound judgment, strong business acumen, and the ability to influence senior leadership while operating with ambiguity and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN
  • Lead, coach, and develop a direct report (HR Generalist/Coordinator) supporting the site; set priorities and workload for the HR team, ensuring coverage and consistent service levels.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex employee relations, compliance, and policy matters.
  • Own employee relations strategy for the site, overseeing investigations, disciplinary action, performance concerns, and conflict resolution.
  • Coach and develop managers on performance management, documentation, and difficult conversations.
  • Lead complex workplace investigations and determine corrective action in partnership with legal/HR leadership.
  • Oversee separations, including severance strategy and negotiations.
  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment strategy for the site, partnering with hiring managers on selection criteria for critical and leadership roles.
  • Own workforce planning and headcount forecasting for the site.
  • Own compliance strategy for FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, and applicable state/local employment law.
  • Lead the FMLA/ADA interactive process and complex accommodation matters.
  • Own HR policy and handbook content, ensuring alignment with company standards and required postings.
  • Lead audits (I-9, EEO-1, unemployment, workers' comp) and manage agency inquiries and responses.
  • Lead managers through performance review cycles, PIPs, and calibration.
  • Drive succession planning and talent development strategy for the site.
  • Own training rollout and organizational development initiatives.
  • Own job classification, pay equity analysis, and compensation recommendations for the site.
  • Oversee HRIS data integrity; build and interpret advanced reporting.
  • Lead annual merit and bonus cycle execution and compensation updates.
  • Partner directly with the HR Director and site leadership on workforce planning, org design, and change management.
  • Lead M&A integration activities (employment agreements, title alignment, communications) as needed.
  • Drive HR projects and process improvement initiatives across the site, and represent the site in broader HR initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

COMPENSATION

The base salary range for this position is $125,000-$135,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives and the full benefits package described above.
