Who we are looking for:

The Senior HR Generalist serves as the primary, on-the-ground HR resource for Cornerstone Capital
Bank's Colorado-based servicing/contact center environment, and acts as the main liaison between the
contact center and Corporate HR. This role is grounded in Colorado employment law and delivers handson
support across wage & hour compliance, compensation compliance, benefits administration, leave
coordination, PTO administration, and employee relations. The Senior HR Generalist ensures consistent,
compliant, and locally responsive HR practices across the servicing population.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary HR liaison between the contact center/servicing operation and Corporate HR, ensuring consistent communication, alignment, and escalation of issues.
  • Provide expert, day-to-day guidance on Colorado employment law, including wage & hour requirements, meal/rest break rules, paid leave laws (e.g., Healthy Families and Workplaces Act), and other state-specific mandates.
  • Administer and monitor wage & hour compliance for hourly/non-exempt contact center staff, including timekeeping accuracy, overtime calculations, and off-the-clock work prevention.
  • Coordinate all forms of leave (FMLA, Colorado FAMLI, ADA accommodation requests, personal leave, and company-specific leave programs) from intake through return-to-work, in coordination with the Benefits Analyst.
  • Administer PTO programs, including accrual tracking, requests, balances, and policy interpretation for the servicing population.
  • Support benefits administration for the contact center population, including enrollment support, qualifying life event processing, and employee inquiries; partner with Corporate Benefits on escalations.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to contact center leaders on employee relations matters, performance management, documentation, corrective action, attendance issues, and conflict resolution.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate resolutions.
  • Promote a positive, respectful, and inclusive work environment, and develop engagement initiatives that improve employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support high-volume recruiting efforts, including participating in interviews for key contact center positions.
  • Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation, ensuring a positive experience and successful integration into the organization.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Colorado and federal employment law changes, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements, and translating updates into practical guidance for site leadership.
  • Ensure consistent application of corporate HR policy at the local level, assisting with policy interpretation and implementation while flagging where local practice requires adaptation to Colorado-specific requirements.
  • Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee records and HR documentation for leave, PTO, wage & hour, and employee relations matters.
  • Represent Corporate HR's presence on-site, building trust and accessibility with contact center employees and supervisors.
  • Partner with Payroll, Compensation, Benefits, and Onboarding to resolve employee questions and issues, elevating complex matters as needed.


What you'll need to be successful:

  • This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • This position requires SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification.
  • This position requires 5-7 years of Human Resources Generalist experience with demonstrated depth in Colorado employment law, wage & hour compliance, benefits administration, and leave/PTO coordination.
  • This position requires a minimum of 2 years supporting a contact center, call center, customer service, or high-volume operations environment.
  • This position preferers banking experience, though it is not required
  • Strong understanding of contact center operations and workforce challenges.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling employee relations investigations and performance management.
  • Experience supporting high-volume recruiting and onboarding.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, Colorado FAMLI, and other applicable state and federal leave laws.
  • Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters, including investigations and corrective action processes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to serve as a trusted, visible HR presence for both employees and leadership.
  • Proficiency with HRIS and timekeeping systems; UKG experience a plus.
  • Ability to work 100% on-site in a Colorado servicing/contact center location.
