Job Summary

We are seeking a Sr. HR Business Partner to support global business groups within a high-technology aerospace and defense environment. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for an experienced HR leader who enjoys partnering with senior leadership, solving complex employee relations challenges, and driving people strategies across international regions.

In this onsite role at the Torrey Pines site in San Diego, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees while supporting organizational development, employee engagement, talent management, succession planning, performance management, and global HR initiatives. The Sr. HR Business Partner will play a key role in building a positive employee experience, improving organizational effectiveness, and helping leaders develop practical, compliant, and business-focused solutions. Key Responsibilities

- Serve as a strategic HR Business Partner to leaders and employees across multiple international regions, aligning people strategies with global business objectives.
- Advise managers on employee relations, performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, organizational change, and culturally appropriate employment practices.
- Lead or support global HR initiatives, including policy development, organizational transformation, change management, leadership development, and culture-building programs.
- Facilitate talent development sessions and create HR training for client groups, including performance management and performance review processes.
- Partner with talent acquisition and business leaders on key hiring decisions, salary analysis, candidate offers, internal equity, merit planning, bonuses, and compensation programs.
- Analyze HR data using Excel and other tools to identify trends, improve engagement, reduce turnover, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary Range: $130,000 to $140,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Work Arrangement: Onsite position in San Diego, CA, at the Torrey Pines site.
- Schedule: 5/40 schedule.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support international HR strategy and employee relations across multiple countries or regions.
- Lead performance management, talent development, succession planning, compensation, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
- Partner with senior leaders to resolve complex HR issues, improve morale, and support business objectives.
- Use HR data, reporting, and analysis to identify trends and recommend practical solutions.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Training, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience with a recognized HR certificate.
- 10 or more years of progressive professional experience in a corporate Human Resources department.
- Demonstrated experience supporting global HR initiatives across multiple countries or regions.
- Strong knowledge of federal and California employment laws, with experience applying international employment practices and regulations.
- Proven employee relations experience, including performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and progressive documentation.
- Strong experience advising leaders on company policies, employment law, compliance, and HR best practices.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, data analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent verbal, written, analytical, presentation, and documentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, coach, and guide employees, managers, senior leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
- Ability to initiate, plan, and manage projects independently or in a team environment.
- Ability to work extended hours and travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in aerospace, defense, technology, engineering, manufacturing, or another highly regulated environment.
- Experience supporting senior leadership teams in a matrixed or global organization.
- Background in organizational design, leadership development, culture transformation, and change management.
- HR certification such as SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR.
