The Prime Video Content Strategy & Finance team is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to support our global acquisitions team. In this role, you will partner closely with content acquisition, content strategy, programming, and finance leadership to drive financial planning and analysis, slate planning and performance tracking, and controllership across our global acquisitions portfolio.
Key job responsibilities
• Lead monthly and quarterly financial forecasting for global acquisitions programs, delivering clear P&L insights and variance analysis to senior stakeholders.
• Provide timely, accurate and complete financial and performance forecasting and reporting; build out financial models and title-level, category-level and program-level performance reports and trackers from the ground up.
• Analyze PV viewership data to surface insights that inform global content acquisition strategy and investment decisions.
• Serve as a trusted finance partner to the global content acquisition team, translating financial concepts into actionable insights.
• Own slate updates for global acquisitions programs, assessing performance and financial impact of slate changes.
A day in the life
Your day will be a blend of strategic and financial analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and financial modeling. You'll dive deep into financial performance and content performance metrics, creating insightful reports and recommendations for leadership. This role requires strong financial modeling skills, keen attention to detail, and the ability to influence stakeholders with data.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or a Bachelor's degree and experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
- 3+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- 3+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
- 3+ years of experience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
