Full Job Description
Highlights of this opportunity:

  • Developing financial models including new product costing and working with our brand managers and commercial sales team to optimize our innovation activities
  • Review and validate assumptions within financial models and business cases ensuring alignment with cross functional partners
  • Lead all facets of the innovation and marketing finance functions, including financial analysis of business performance, cost saving opportunities, budgeting, forecasting and strategic decision making support
  • Development of dashboards, metrics and reports that support our marketing leaders to drive sustainable profitable growth of our branded portfolio
  • Performing post-mortem analysis of innovation activities to identify optimization and improvement opportunities
  • Coordinate with the marketing team and the finance leadership in the development of annual operating plans and forecasts
  • Contribute and support the formulation of brand/category initiatives and strategies
  • Take charge of ad-hoc projects and analysis to evaluate opportunities and mitigate operational risks, for effective strategic decision-making


We're looking for someone who has:

  • Mindset of innovation and continuous improvement
  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, math, data science or related fields
  • CPA designation or in the process of obtaining it is preferred, but not required
  • Strong commercial finance acumen with proven ability to partner with cross functionals to make a positive impact on business strategy.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, commercial finance and/or consulting
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment supporting inventory and costing
  • Proficiency in data management, including preparation, analysis and interpretation of financial information
  • Hands-on experience using data/ analytics dashboards (i.e. Power BI, Tableau, etc)
  • Strong Excel skills and experience using promotional management tools will be an asset


Notes:

  • This role reports into the Supply Chain Finance Director and interacts closely with the AVP Finance, & CFO
  • This position is based out of our HQ in Richmond, BC - 4 days a week in the office is required.
  • Base salary range is: $90,000 - $105,000 plus bonus
