Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst/Consultant to support PEO C4I / NAVWAR Command clients in San Diego, CA. This role involves delivering high-impact financial management and accounting support to U.S. government clients. You will work both independently and collaboratively within a consulting team, supporting day-to-day financial operations and long-term strategic planning.

Key Focus Areas

  • Supporting complex Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) and programmatic initiatives
  • Developing, executing, and monitoring DoD budgets and annual financial spend plans
  • Conducting account reconciliations, variance analyses, financial tracking, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Advising client leadership on critical financial and operational decisions


Responsibilities

  • Enter and maintain accurate financial data in government systems (e.g., Navy ERP, Standard Procurement System, and successor systems)
  • Assist with budget formulation, cost management, and variance analysis
  • Measure organizational performance and assess program and policy impacts on funding
  • Research financial and economic trends affecting program execution and spending
  • Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and guidelines governing budget formulation and execution
  • Manage multiple funding types and coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Prepare and brief financial reports, budgets, analyses, and executive-level summaries
  • Develop recommendations and courses of action (COAs) to resolve financial issues
  • Interpret and apply financial management policies, regulations, and strategic objectives
