About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver high-quality financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic reporting that drives business decision-making across the organization. This role serves as a key finance partner to operational and leadership teams - translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insights on performance, costs, and trends. The ideal candidate brings deep analytical skills, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and the ability to communicate financial information effectively to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
What You'll DoPlanning & Forecasting- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes, partnering with department managers to develop accurate and timely financial plans
- Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, capital investment decisions, pricing analysis, and profitability reviews
Reporting & Analysis- Prepare and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year
- Analyze business unit and branch-level financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities and presenting findings to senior leadership
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) including gross margin, operating expenses, EBITDA, and working capital metrics
Accounting & Compliance- Support month-end and year-end close processes by partnering with the accounting team to ensure accuracy of financial results and proper accruals
- Assist with annual financial audits and ensure financial reporting is in compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Process Improvement- Drive improvements to financial reporting tools, dashboards, and processes to increase efficiency and data quality
- Perform other duties as assigned
What We're Looking ForRequired- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, including budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiences
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screening
- Fosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environment
Preferred- MBA or CPA
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, Tableau, or similar reporting tools
- Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central and/or Epicor Prelude a plus
- Experience within the distribution, automotive, diesel, or transportation industry
Working ConditionsThis is a desk-based role in a standard office environment. The position requires prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer, with the ability to perform repetitive motions such as typing and filing, and to occasionally lift and carry up to 15 lbs.
