Position Purpose: The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for tracking, analyzing and cost controls associated with multiple projects.We are seeking a hard-working, energetic, and dedicated individual to contribute to the overall success of our programs. In this role, you will have opportunities to work independently as well as collaborate with key functional stakeholders including Program Management and Engineering.Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, and resourcefulness, with a commitment to quality while developing their leadership skills as a key business partner.

Position Type: Full Time

Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

On-site position at our Boulder, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

This role does not offer relocation assistance and is a fully onsite position

Job Responsibilities:
  • Development of quarterly EACs; analysis/assist in accurate projection of Estimate to Complete (ETC), Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data
  • May lead creation of 6+ EACs per quarter, responsible for multiple projects at once as Financial Analyst lead
  • Gather and analyze operational, financial, and program performance metrics for Material, Subcontracts, and Labor for Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering Support to Production, and Integrated Product Teams.
  • Be an integral program team member working closely with Program Manager and other cross-functional peers, to ensure accurate measurement, control, and understanding of reported costs and schedules
  • Provide PMO with in-depth, transactional-level detail of costs, must possess knowledge of cost flow through ERP system to trace/explain activity through functional areas
  • Assist with labor reporting, accounting data extraction and reconciliation, labor and cost transfer submittals
  • Finance support for AOP and LRP forecasting, proposals and ROM pricing exercises
  • Support creation of streamlined business processes for commercial Components business line
  • Assist with organization of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and job cost accumulation
  • Assist in monitoring costs and labor to ensure that actuals are within budget and charged to the correct end objective
  • Develop and present briefing of program financial status to internal customers
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials
  • Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Other responsibilities as assigned


Required Qualifications/Education:
  • 3+ years of Finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Management or a related field
  • Excel proficiency (to include Lookup/Index/Sum functions and pivot tables)
  • Ability to manage priorities in order to meet deadlines
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and work quality
  • Knowledge of concepts or experience with at least two of the following items:
    • Program cost and schedule controls, FP&A activities, and proposal support
    • Government contracting and FAR requirements.
    • Estimates at Completion (EAC's) or similar systems and tools
    • SAP, Business Warehouse, PMX, EDIT+ or similar systems
  • Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education


Working Conditions:

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. BCT anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted.
