Job Description
Job Summary:
Applies advanced technical expertise to coordinate and perform field technology operations across multiple construction projects. Oversees complex scanning, layout, and reality capture activities, ensuring accuracy and integration with project models. Leads workflow development, data processing, and team training to promote consistency, quality, and efficiency in field technology use.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs advanced LiDAR scanning, layout, and surveying to support high-accuracy construction execution.
Processes and integrates point cloud and photogrammetry data into BIM platforms for coordination and analysis.
Develops and refines workflows for field data collection, processing, and delivery to project teams.
Provides technical leadership and mentorship to field technicians and project teams in field technology applications.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues in data capture, model alignment, and system interoperability.
Collaborates with Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) and operations teams to align technology implementation with project goals.
Ensures adherence to safety and quality standards in all field technology operations.
Education Qualifications:
Associate degree or bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
Work Experience:
3-5 years of experience in field technology, construction technology, or a related field required.
Certifications and Licenses:
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 10-Hour Construction certification required.
Part 107 Commercial Drone Pilot Certification preferred.
Total Station or Laser Scan course certification preferred.
