About the Role:

Join CBRE in a Senior Facilities Manager role supporting one of the world's largest and most respected financial institutions. This organization operates a vast global footprint and is known for its commitment to exceptional workplace experiences, operational excellence, and high standards of service delivery.

Based in Elgin, IL, this position will provide strategic oversight of a multi-site portfolio totaling approximately 765,000 square feet across Elgin, Winnetka, Downtown Chicago, and Milwaukee. Regular travel is expected to the Illinois locations approximately once per week, with travel to Milwaukee occurring approximately once per month.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead facility operations, maintenance programs, and service delivery across a multi-site portfolio totaling approximately 765,000 square feet.
  • Manage and develop facility management teams, including performance management, coaching, training, and workforce planning.
  • Build strong partnerships with client stakeholders and serve as a trusted advisor on workplace and operational initiatives.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance programs, repairs, vendor performance, and overall site operational readiness.
  • Manage portfolio operating budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital improvement initiatives.
  • Drive an elevated employee and visitor experience through exceptional service standards and workplace hospitality.
  • Conduct facility inspections, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote environmental health and safety best practices.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, continuous improvement, and enhanced service delivery across all locations.

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of facilities, operations, workplace, or property management experience, including leadership responsibilities.
  • Experience leading teams, managing vendors, and delivering results across multiple sites or a regional portfolio.
  • Strong client relationship management skills with the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Proven experience managing operating budgets, forecasting, financial reporting, and capital projects.
  • Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on operational leadership in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge of facility maintenance, compliance, health and safety practices, and contractor management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and related business systems.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the portfolio.
  • Facility Management certification (FMP, CFM, or similar) is a plus.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $120,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Facilities Manager position is $135,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
