Summary of Role: Join our PVD team as a Sr. Equipment Engineer in PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) at our 200mm Waferfab Foundry in Essex, VT. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining and supporting equipment readiness. This role is fully onsite in Essex, VT working a Mon-Friday daytime schedule (occasional evenings / weekends per business needs).
Essential Responsibilities:- Assist technicians in performing preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting and upgrades of equipment to ensure minimal downtime
- Analyze and monitor technical charts
- Drive equipment improvement plans and projects
- Ensure and follow good safety practices and custody of tools, equipment and other properties
- Work and collaborate other projects and/or assignments as needed
- Collaborate daily with maintenance technicians and process engineers to meet production demands
- Drive continuous improvement projects with respect to equipment availability, cost reduction, and yield improvement
- Establish and manage the spare parts to meet repair budgets
- Support cross functional problem solving, involving facilities, maintenance and process engineering
- Work with procurement and suppliers to select strategic equipment and ensure continuity of spare part supply and quality
- Manage installation and startup of new or retrofit equipment
- Mentor and lead lower-level equipment engineering team members
Other Responsibilities:- Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Required Qualifications:- Education -bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering field + 2-4 years' relevant field experience OR MS + 1-year relevant field experience
- Understanding of and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical and pneumatic systems
- Understanding of pumps, high vacuum systems and RF generators
- Problem solving and communication of action plans
- Travel - Up to 10%
- Fluency in English Language - both written & verbal
- Physical Capacity Demands - Ability to lift and carry parts up to 30 lbs., stand, or bend and crouch to inspect, or work on equipment in the clean room for extended periods of time. Wearing any personal protective equipment as needed, to abide by cleanroom protocols

Expected Salary Range$69,000.00 - $120,000.00
