Job Summary:

As a Sr. Energy Solutions Project Engineer, you will play a key role as an industry expert in energy system applications to help customers increase their energy resiliency, reliability, and security while reducing cost, monetizing assets, and meeting their ESG goals through deployment of DERs. You will contribute and provide engineering design and applications for energy systems.

What you'll do
  • Demonstrate expert level understanding of energy and distributed energy resource project development.
  • Provide front-end project engineering, including conceptual electrical design and detailed cost estimates utilizing Caterpillar Electric Power's products and services (e.g., solar PV, energy storage, natural gas generation, combined heat and power, renewable fuels, and hydrogen solutions).
  • Provide design oversight including procurement and installation of turnkey energy solutions that incorporate controls, integrated switchgear, and any other balance of plant items.
  • Work with third party engineering firms and contractors for final design approvals.
  • Attend site walkthroughs with project stakeholders during the development, construction, and commissioning phases of a project lifecycle.
  • Lead stakeholder-facing discussions and project reviews supporting sale of energy solutions and project execution.

  • This position is located in Kennett Square, PA
  • Domestic travel up to 25-40%

Summary Pay Range:

$128,470.00 - $192,710.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
