Priority consideration will be given to qualified candidates who are currently affiliated with the Enterprise Operations' Enterprise Business & Digital Transformation (EBDT) organization. #EBDT

Lockheed Martin's EBDT Classified IT Transformation team is modernizing the delivery of classified IT services for Business-Area partners and DoD programs. We seek an experienced Network Engineer to join the Classified IT Center of Excellence (CoE).

In this fast-paced, innovation-driven environment, the incumbent will:
- Design, implement, and secure next-generation IT infrastructure solutions.
- Standardize and streamline processes across classified environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate product development for U.S. Department of Defense missions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant security policies and industry best practices.
- The role is critical to enabling Lockheed Martin to deliver higher-quality, mission-critical solutions more rapidly.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine updates, major upgrades, patching, and vulnerability scanning
- Maintain asset inventory and ensure hardware/software lifecycle compliance
- Enforce Lockheed Martin and DoD policies, including STIG and RMF requirements
- Implement security hardening, remediate findings, and conduct technical security implementations
- Provide timely resolution of infrastructure issues (hardware, software, networking)
- Update Service Central tickets, JIRA issues, and Confluence pages with accurate status, work performed details, and any changes to scope, priority, or assignment; attach relevant artifacts and ensure traceability to requirements or incidents.
- Coordinate with stakeholders (customers, engineers, and support leads) to verify resolution, close tickets or issues promptly, and communicate any follow up actions or documentation updates across all three platforms.
- Design and implement innovative technical solutions to complex problems
- Support classified customer demonstration environments and lab testbeds, ensuring readiness and performance for stakeholder reviews
- Document system configurations, procedures, and lessons learned
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge-base growth
- Participate in a 24 7 on-call rotation; work off-shift hours and weekends as needed
- Work onsite full-time with occasional travel to other Lockheed Martin facilities or customer sites

Basic Qualifications

- Top Secret Clearance Required with the ability to Obtain and Maintain a CI Polygraph.
- Demonstrated experience with configuring and maintaining Network devices (Switches, Firewalls and Routers).
- Experience with Cisco, Juniper and Palo Alto network devices and creating firewall rule Policies.
- IAT-Level II (8570-compliant) certification (Security+ or equivalent certification)
- Proven classified infrastructure support and administration experience
- Experience with DoD requirements and processes including Risk Management Framework requirements within classified environments.

Desired skills

- IAT-Level II (8570-compliant) certification (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA)
- Network-security certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, JNCIA, Palo Alto Networks)
- 4 + years experience administering and supporting enterprise-class, classified IT infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto devices; Cisco ACI, CUCM, Unity Connection, Voice/VTC deployments
- Configuring, installing, deploying, and maintaining switches, routers, firewalls, WAN optimizers, encryption appliances (TACLANE), and optical-transport equipment
- Strong knowledge of the OSI model, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, GRE tunnels, UDP multicast, SONET, MSPP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, and Layer-2/3 VLAN design
- Network traffic analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting expertise
- Virtualization & cloud platforms: VMware (NSX, vSAN, Horizon, ARIA), private/public clouds, SAN/NAS, VDI, NetApp storage, Dell VxRail/HCI
- Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python or similar)
- Firewall rule creation and policy management
- Familiarity with STIGs, RMF, vulnerability management, patching, and security hardening processes
- Experience with ITSM/ITOM tools (e.g., Aria Operations) and DoD Cloud Computing SRG compliance
- Excellent written and verbal communication, documentation, and mentoring skills
- Active Top Secret (or higher) clearance required at hire; must remain eligible throughout employment , U.S. citizen, candidates must also be eligible to undergo a Counter-Intelligence (CI) polygraph.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
