Full Job Description

The Sr. Director, Product Marketing – Government will lead our Government Risk & Fraud client segment by identifying the needs and pain points attributable to Local, State & Federal agencies and championing software, data and public records technology solutions to most effectively meet those needs.  In addition, this role will work with the Corporate segment on identifying the needs and use cases for the Risk and Fraud markets in the Financial and Non-Financial sectors.   The Sr. Director looks to refine and build on existing customer value propositions for the government and corporate market and work with customers and internal stakeholders to identify, size and prioritize the most promising growth opportunities.

Note: This is a *hybrid role (*mix of working from home and in-office) and candidates can be based near any of these Hub office locations: Minneapolis metro area (Eagan, MN), Dallas metro area (Carrollton, TX), or McClean, VA.

About the Role

In this opportunity as Sr. Director, Product Marketing – Government, you will:

  • Lead a team of product marketing managers and associate managers to deliver target financial outcomes and strategy objectives for our Risk & Fraud software, data and public records offerings.
  • Ensure all channels can clearly articulate value prop and competitive positioning of each proposition.
  • Clearly prioritize and articulate the path for growth and expansion of propositions including cross-sell, upsell opportunities.
  • Partner with our channel enablement team to develop the roadmap for all Government GTM activities, including content for proposition specific sales pitch decks, collateral sell-sheets, webinar content and material for sales training.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer and interpret and translate the needs of the customer into compelling value propositions, working with product management, demand generation and internal marketing stakeholders.
  • Continuously collaborate with Sales to adjust strategies and focus areas based on changing market realities and performance.
  •  Provide market facing thought leadership.
  •  Be responsible for developing talent within the department.

About You

You could be a fit for the Sr. Director, Product Marketing – Government, if your

background includes:

  • 8+ years of experience (Legal and/or Risk, Fraud, or Investigative experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related major required; JD, MBA or a higher-level advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience successfully leading cross-functional teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies and multi-channel marketing programs.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with imperfect data and synthesize and communicate insights from quantitative and qualitative data from disparate sources.
  • Strong collaborator with proven ability to partner with sales, marketing and product teams and willingness/desire to dedicate time to the customer.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to thrive in an agile and ambiguous environment where paths and processes must often be forged rather than simply taken or followed.
  • Strong customer knowledge in the government market is desirable.
  • Experience working in customer journey mapping and with customer persona value propositions.
  • Positive attitude, adaptable to change.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $137,200 USD - $254,800 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
