Position Overview

The Senior Director, Global I&A Lead serves as both the senior-most I&A partner supporting the U.S. commercial organization and a global steward of Insulet's insights excellence. This role sets the global standard for how Insights & Analytics shapes commercial strategy, customer understanding, and enterprise decision-making across International, Segment, and Customer Journey I&A teams.

Reporting to the VP, Insights & Analytics, this leader operates as a primary strategic thought partner-driving a unified insights vision, harmonizing methodologies, and elevating capability maturity across regions. They ensure that customer, commercial, market, and performance insights translate into high-impact narratives and guidance for executive decisions. The role connects long-term strategy and real-time execution while building a world-class global insights ecosystem and strengthening talent and ways of working across markets.

Responsibilities

U.S. I&A Leadership
• Serve as the primary I&A business partner to U.S. commercial leaders, providing guidance on key trends and strategic implications.
• Translate U.S. customer, market, and performance data into clear observations, implications, and recommendations for executive decision-making.
• Support long-term strategic planning (>5 years) for the U.S. market, including forecasting external trends and competitive dynamics.
• Define and monitor U.S. commercial KPIs tied to performance, customer acquisition, retention, and lifecycle optimization.

International I&A Oversight
• Provide leadership and strategic alignment for International I&A teams across priority markets.
• Ensure consistency of methodologies, insights generation, and customer journey understanding globally.
• Support market-specific learning plans and commercial strategy development.

Segment I&A Leadership
• Guide I&A support for global business segments, ensuring integration of segment-level insights with U.S. and international priorities.
• Partner with segment heads to develop fact-based business cases for product decisions, investments, and go-to-market approaches.
• Lead segmentation, persona development and unmet needs globally.

Customer Journey I&A Ownership
• Oversee the global customer journey, ensuring incorporation of qualitative and quantitative insights across all touchpoints.
• Identify unmet needs, pain points, and opportunities to improve end-to-end experiences and align the organization against activation.
• Integrate multiple disparate data sources (primary research, CRM, digital, secondary) into a cohesive customer understanding.

Cross-Functional Leadership
• Shape processes across Insights and Analytics to maximize business impact and streamline insight generation.
• Anticipate business risks and opportunities grounded in evolving market, customer, and competitive insights.
• Lead, mentor, and develop I&A team members globally to build a best-in-class capability.

Key Decision Rights
• Ownership of the global customer journey and its evolution.
• Defining and maintaining the learning plan for U.S., International, and Segment use cases.
• Prioritization of global insights initiatives and integration across U.S. and global teams.

• Track record of both strategy development and hands-on execution.

Additional Information
• Position may be hybrid or in-person at Acton, MA (preferred) or San Diego, CA.
• Expected travel: approximately 20%, subject to business needs.
