  • Manage core AWS infrastructure supporting the data platform, including IAM and Secrets Manager for access and credentials, and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation or Terraform) for provisioning
  • Lead database migrations and replication using AWS Database Migration Service (DMS), along with version upgrades and capacity planning across cloud and on-premise platforms.
  • Develop automation solutions using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (data engineering, application development, security, compliance) to deliver secure, scalable database solutions.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and tune database performance, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into database architecture and design decisions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level DBAs and provide technical leadership within the team.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake including compute optimization, cost management, and RBAC-based access control.
  • Hands-on experience with core AWS services - DMS, IAM, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager, and infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation or Terraform) - supporting cloud database environments.
  • Deep understanding of database internals, indexing strategies, execution plans, storage optimization, and workload management.
  • Proven experience administering databases in cloud environments.
  • Experience working with stakeholders on data strategy, governance, and compliance.
  • Background in data governance frameworks (PII handling, access control, metadata management).

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
