About the role:

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will contribute to a variety of areas including:

  • The development of our overall data platform
  • Supporting internal and external customers with data related technical work, to include planning, documentation, and coding
  • Interacting directly with customers

About You

You’re a good fit for the role of Senior Data Engineer if you meet the following criteria:

  • Have Bachelor of Science degree in a technical area (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • 7 years of data engineering experience
  • Proficiency in SQL and Snowflake Data Cloud Platform, including complex queries and performance optimization within the Snowflake environment
  • Experience with:
    • Data Loading, Data Transformation, Data Extraction, Sharing and Replication
    • Security features, including access control, data masking and encryption
    • Data modeling across disparate data sources with a variety of formats and structures
    • Ontology development at a warehouse level
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, etc) for data processing and ETL scripting
  • Passionate, smart, and articulate technologist
  • Able to work independently based on high level instructions
  • Possess a strong personal work ethic
  • Desire to collaborate with a distributed team
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. National Security Clearance
  • Able to support and teach others in areas of mastery

Additional Desired Skills

  • Experience with formal SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) procedures
  • Experience with version control software and methodology, preferably Github

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $137,100 USD - $254,700 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
