Description:
  • CI Analyst shall provide Operational Risk Management advisement and assessments for operational planning supporting SOF, HUMINT, and commercial supply chain operations necessary to achieve organizational program objectives.
  • Analysts leverage IC analytical methodologies, standards, and software tools to assess risks and threats to SOF and HUMINT activities, logistics lines of operation, including contract mechanisms, ordering, procurement, storage, staging, transportation, reception, and acceptance of material.
  • They collaborate with Risk Management Advisors to ensure alignment with JTF-SREC priorities by providing actionable intelligence that supports operational objectives and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Success is measured by the accuracy of threat assessments and the effectiveness of CI support in securing operations.
  • Should perform tasks such as:
  • Analyze intelligence reporting on foreign intelligence entity (FIE) tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for supply chain exploitation.
  • Provide Counterintelligence Awareness and Reporting (CIAR) training to SREC personnel.
  • Be able to profile and map out a product's complete supply chain, from raw material suppliers to sub-component manufacturers and logistics providers, to identify critical vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct all-source intelligence analysis on potential vendors, suppliers, and contractors to identify any foreign ownership, control, or influence (FOCI) and other CI red flags.
  • Author formal Supply Chain Risk Assessments (SCRAs) for new technologies, acquisitions, or programs detailing the threats and recommending a risk posture.
  • Collaborate with legal and contracting personnel to enhance security and screening requirements for procurement actions.
  • Provide specific recommendations on how to mitigate identified supply chain risks (e.g., sourcing from trusted suppliers, requiring anti-tamper measures).
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the organization's enterprise-wide Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) policy and best practices.
  • Write and disseminate intelligence products (reports, alerts, briefings) on specific supply chain threats, compromised vendors, or emerging adversary capabilities.
  • Brief senior leaders, acquisition professionals, and engineers on the specific CI risks associated with their systems and programs.
  • Liaise with Federal agencies, and industry partners to share threat intelligence and collaborate on investigations.
  • Provide timely, cogent, and relevant advice to improve the CI posture
  • Ensure intelligence oversight, compliance, and accurate document, report CI indicators and concerns.
  • Be able to analyze all-source intelligence to create detailed profiles of foreign intelligence entity (FIE) HUMINT officers, identifying their operational patterns, recruitment methods, and targeting priorities.
  • Be able to develop and maintain link analysis diagrams and databases to map out suspected FIE networks and their associates.
  • Research and write in-depth assessments on the structure, capabilities, intent, and operational tactics of specific foreign intelligence services.
  • Analyze reporting from friendly sources (debriefing reports) for indicators of deception, fabrication, or hostile control.
  • Conduct deep-dive, all-source background checks on potential new sources to assess their authenticity, motivations, and potential CI risks.
  • Review operational proposals for new operations to identify and assess potential CI vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation measures.
  • Provide direct analytical support to active CI investigations by correlating data, identifying leads, and producing analytical reports for CI special agents.
  • Generate CI leads by identifying anomalous activities or suspicious contacts in operational, travel, or financial reporting.
  • Provide tailored threat briefings to case officers, debriefers, and operational managers to enhance their situational awareness and security posture.
  • Liaise with counterparts across the Intelligence Community (IC) to share threat information and collaborate on cases of mutual interest.


Job Requirements

Desired experience:
  • Minimum 20 years of combined work-related experience in the Counter-Intelligence career field with minimum of 10 years since 2015 working at the O-6 or higher level within USSOCOM Enterprise or Interagency equivalent.
  • Demonstrates mastery in producing IC-coordinated, all-source intelligence products including analyzing FIE capabilities, intentions, and opportunities.
  • Extensive experience leading analytic teams and producing strategic-level intelligence for senior leadership.
  • Strong background in managing complex problem sets and overseeing analytic teams to provide high-level advice to commanders and policymakers.
  • Demonstrates ability to define problems, supervise studies and lead surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
  • Demonstrates analytic leadership and expertise in identifying, planning, developing, and executing analytic production methodologies, tradecraft and techniques aligned with mission.

Security clearance:
  • Active TS/SCI and with the ability to obtain a CI Poly if needed.

Location:
  • HQ USSOCOM, MacDill AFB, FL.
