Full Job Description
Role:

This position involves both comprehensive management of existing commercial relationships as well as soliciting new business opportunities with current members and targeted prospects with the objective to acquire new business for the credit union.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of diverse and complex commercial relationships, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Work with members and prospects through personal calling efforts, branch referrals, commercial lending referrals, etc. making recommendations for their deposit needs.
  • Coordinate with product partners to cross-sell a full range of products and services and maintains an up to date knowledge of competitors products and pricing in the market.
  • Critically review and analyze member statements for cross sell opportunities
  • Facilitate the resolution of customer problems, engaging product experts as needed
  • Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the credit union and to establish referral contacts within the marketplace
  • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies, procedures, regulations, and laws
  • Manage a portfolio of commercial relationships with some or all of the following characteristics:
    1. Average loan portfolio up to $100MM (in partnership with the commercial lender)
    2. Average deposit portfolio up $50MM
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 3+ years of commercial banking experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of full range of commercial deposit and treasury products.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and meet Commerce Bank's driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
  • Strong time management skills, with ability to appropriately prioritize calling activities and strategies
  • Goal oriented with well-developed sales skills
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

ADA Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS - Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be

capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours

whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.
