Job Summary

Job Title: Operations Manager (Accessories)

Location: Mountain View, CA

Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Onsite

The salary for this role is $90000 to $100000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay. JOB DESCRIPTION:

Product Management & Market Strategy:
  • Accessory Lifecycle Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of phone accessory product development with partners, ensuring project milestones are met by coordinating across design, engineering, and go-to-market teams.
  • Market Intelligence: Monitor, analyze, and report on third-party (3P) accessory market trends, tracking competitor releases, pricing strategies, and consumer sentiment to provide actionable insights.
  • Go-To-Market (GTM) Support: Track Manufacturing (MfG) partner distribution in global markets and drive connections with partners who do not currently range 1P products.


Logistics, Inventory & Compliance:
  • Sample Logistics & Vault Management: Manage the end-to-end logistics for internal device requests. Oversee the physical vault and cabinets containing accessories (cases, chargers, Borneo launches), coordinating the procurement, tracking, and timely delivery of prototypes and production samples to stakeholders and QA teams. This involves lifting heavy packages of incoming products and methodically storing the contents.
  • Shipping & Customs: Track and manage sample SKUs shipped from partners to ensure the certification process functions smoothly. Manage customs operations and ensure Google Internal Compliance.
  • Internal Testing (Dogfooding): Provide operational coverage for internal R&R dogfooding programs for Cases, and New Product Dogfood/Teamfood.


Data Administration & Reporting:
  • Smartsheet Workspace Leadership: Act as the primary administrator for the team's Smartsheet platform. Manage new account creation, ensure cross-functional partners have appropriate access/training, and verify that partners are accurately populating development timelines.
  • Workflow Optimization: Maintain overall data integrity, build reporting dashboards, and optimize automated workflows within Smartsheet.
  • Sales & Royalty Analytics: Analyze Google Store accessory sales performance and correlate this data to seamlessly handle partner Royalty Reporting.


Vendor & Contract Management:
  • Manufacturing Documentation: Manage and update critical MfG documentation, specifically focusing on Exhibit A (Statements of Work/Product Specifications) and Exhibit B (Pricing/Commercial Terms).
  • Partner Liaison: Collaborate with external manufacturing partners and internal legal/procurement teams to ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and fully compliant.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in product operations, project management, or supply chain processes, specifically managing complex cross-functional product lifecycles within consumer electronics or mobile accessories. Familiarity with consumer electronics supply chain processes.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced experience with Smartsheet is required (including building workspaces, dashboards, and complex data workflows).
  • Contract Management: Familiarity with manufacturing contracts, specifically managing Statements of Work and Pricing documentation (Exhibit A/B).
  • Operational Skills: Excellent organizational skills and operational rigor with a proven track record of successfully managing physical sample inventory, internal orders, and shipping logistics.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to gather and synthesize market intelligence, sales performance, and royalty data.
  • Soft Skills: Clear and effective written and verbal communication. Must be a self-starter who can take initiative, work independently, and collaborate dynamically across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
