Job Description and Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a qualified Civil Engineer for a position in Portsmouth, NH. This role offers a unique career advancement opportunity within a dynamic and expanding multi-disciplinary group of Architects and Engineers. The selected individual will be involved in supporting diverse projects related to vertical construction and other Civil Engineering tasks in commercial, industrial, and Federal markets. This position will entail engineering and design responsibilities for projects with construction values ranging from $100k to $100M.

Responsibilities include:
  • Supporting projects throughout New England and our clients and firm offices nationwide.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and supervising sub-consultants such as fire protection, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and environmental engineers.
  • Providing engineering and design for various projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and codes.
  • Overseeing site design aspects, including building infrastructure layout, utilities, accessibility, stormwater, lighting, landscaping, and environmental protection.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of current industry design standards and adopting new technologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with planning/zoning standards, industry codes, and standards (IBC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI, etc.).
  • Proficiency with CAD and BIM software, including Autodesk (Civil 3D), HydroCAD, and other industry tools. Revit knowledge is a plus.
  • Organizing and completing field assignments, including site assessments, engineering investigations, and construction documentation.
