Position Summary (Purpose of job):

The Senior Analyst plays a critical role in leading complex business analysis initiatives that enable technology solutions and strategic process improvements across McKesson’s healthcare ecosystem. This position is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with business partners, proactively monitoring industry and technology trends, and translating business priorities into actionable technical requirements.

The role contributes to requirement gathering, solution negotiation, and impact assessment while ensuring compliance with architectural and security standards. It involves coordinating project resources, managing stakeholder expectations, and driving innovative solutions that deliver measurable business value. The Analyst provides thought leadership, consultative support, and influences enterprise-wide initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead requirements strategy and documentation for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Distribution Center (DC) operations, and supply chain transformation initiatives by defining scope, facilitating stakeholder workshops, and producing comprehensive functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Drive process optimization and modernization across legacy and digital warehouse platforms.
  • Manage requirements, traceability, testing, and solution governance to ensure successful delivery.
  • Partner with business, operations, and technology teams to define future-state supply chain capabilities.
  • Lead API and integration analysis efforts by defining business requirements and data flows between WMS and automation to enable end-to-end process visibility and orchestration.
  • Support WMS transformation initiatives, including upgrades, migrations, and modernization programs.
  • Apply data analysis and operational insights to improve warehouse performance and inventory visibility.
  • Identify and implement AI-driven and automation opportunities to enhance productivity, decision-making, and operational efficiency.
  • Drive user adoption, training, and change management to maximize business value.
  • Mentor analysts and promote best practices across supply chain and digital transformation programs.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience.

Critical Skills:

  • Expert knowledge of requirements elicitation, documentation, governance, and requirements traceability for complex business and technology initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Distribution Center (DC) operations, inventory management, fulfillment processes, and supply chain workflows.
  • Proficiency in Business Process Modeling, Process Optimization, and Business Process Automation (BPA), with experience identifying opportunities to improve warehouse and operational efficiency.
  • Advanced capability in Business Case Development (BCD), scenario modeling, ROI analysis, and benefit quantification to support strategic transformation decisions.
  • Strong business and operational data analysis skills, including data quality assessment, root cause analysis, KPI development, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience working across legacy platforms and modern digital/cloud-based solutions, supporting system modernization and transformation initiatives.
  • Knowledge of API-based integrations, system interoperability, and enterprise integration patterns across WMS, ERP, automation, transportation, and partner systems.
  • Exposure to AI-driven, analytics, and automation technologies supporting warehouse optimization, inventory visibility, operational intelligence, and decision-making.
  • Ability to produce wireframes, prototypes, process flows, and executive-level presentations tailored to business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of privacy, security, compliance, and governance requirements within regulated environments.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, communication, and consensus-building skills across operations, business, product, and IT teams.
  • Demonstrated adaptability, problem-solving, digital acumen, and innovation in delivering scalable business solutions.
  • Ability to operate independently on highly complex initiatives while influencing analytical standards, solution design, and modernization roadmaps.

Business Experience: 

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; advanced degree preferred. 
  • Typically requires 7+ years of relevant professional experience leading complex requirements efforts across functional, technical, and regulatory domains. 
  • Track record of negotiating solution trade-offs, aligning stakeholder expectations, and enabling adoption through structured documentation and communication.
