Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst Location: Jersey City, NJ (Web Cam Interview) Duration: Long Term (W2) H1 Transfer/ GC/ Citizen Job Description: - Work in an agile and fast-paced environment interfacing with Management, Business, Operations and Technology teams
- Possess strong working knowledge and experience of Equities Settlements. Experience with Client BPS/BPS plus.
- Demonstrate in depth knowledge of Prime Brokerage, Options processing and Arranged Financing workflow including Trade booking, Accounting, PnL and Tax processing.
- Liaise with project stakeholders to gather business requirements and propose solutions. Create detailed flow diagrams, functional and technical specifications required to enhance and support Equities settlements related applications.
- Document Test plans, Test cases, Execute and Support testing for any Software changes to the BPS platform and related internal applications.
- Coordinate and execute UAT with Ops, Vendor and Other IT teams.
- Provide status updates, proper escalations & reporting to management & business
- Identify and assist in resolution of risks and issues that will adversely affect planned project milestones
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 7+ years hands on Business analysis and/or Software Development experience.
Skillset Requirements: - Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Technical requirements:
- bility to write SQL queries.
- Understanding of MQ, SFTP, Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting fundamentals a plus.
- Product Knowledge of Client BPS a plus or Other settlement platforms (Calypso).
- Microsoft applications - Excel, Word, Powperpoint, Project, Visio, Access.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Subject matter proficiency in Equity products and trade processing cycle inclusive of cash and financing.
