Job Role Description

The Advanced Polymer Customer Application Development Technologist is expected to apply engineering skills, knowledge of customer application development, and leadership skills to:
- Accomplish application work independently
- Lead application development programs
- Demonstrate technical leadership at customers
- Share expertise with the EM organization in their field of expertise
- Acquire a strong working knowledge of technology fundamentals for their assigned areas
This role is expected to effectively collaborate, interact, and communicate with partners. The Advanced Polymer Customer Application Development Technologist will start developing key leadership skills to facilitate the transition from an individual contributor to a technical leader

Job Role Responsibilities

Technical Knowledge Development: Demonstrates advanced understanding of applications and related processes in area of expertise
External Engagement: Represents the company in interactions with customers and the remainder of the supply chain
Application Development: Develops application solutions while optimizing value to the company and customers
Cross-Functional Leadership: Leads cross-functional teams responsible for TIDEx or Knowledge Build programs
Product Development Support: Supports and influences product development programs by bringing application insights
Intellectual Property: Works with IP Law for initiating IP documentation and drafting patents or IP.com entries, under guidance of a senior technologist
Training: Provides training internally (young technologists, Sales / Marketing, etc.) and externally (distributors, customers, etc.)
